Alumasign And Gorilla Board Are Big Success In Niagara Falls, Canada6/23/2009Alumasign and Gorilla Board are big success in Niagara Falls, Canada Foamacell USA is crossing all borders. We are delivering solutions for the tough environment sign applications. Foamacell’s star products are: Alumasign and Gorilla Board. In Niagara Falls, Canada, the winters are cold and wet and the summers are hot and raining. Traditional wood and free foam PVC sheets were having a tough time surviving the seasons. Expansion and contraction, freezing temperatures, combined with water absorption and UV degradation would cause expensive signs to look warped, separated, and weathered pre-maturely. Replacing signs every two years in Niagara Falls, Canada has just been a fact of life until the introduction of Alumasign and Gorilla Board. Alumasign is an Aluminum composite sheet with enamel paint on both sides. The aluminum composite sheet is warranted for 5 years against fading and delaminating in the harshest of environments. Chemicals, salts, Rain, and the sun are no match for the high luster gloss finish. The rigidity and low expansion and contraction have made this a perfect material for signs application that were no thicker than 6mm. Because of the ease of fabrication and lower cost than other sign substrates, you will see our material popping up everywhere. Gorilla Board has also made its presents well known in the Niagara Falls area. Many of the signs in this area have the old charm of gold leaf inlay and hanging ornamental signs. These have traditional been fabricated from plywood. Much time and effort goes into preparing the surface of the wood, including: Sanding, priming, painting, and sealing the edges. After such great efforts and cost have been made to preserve these signs, the brutal environment of water and ice, start to break it down within 1 year. Foamacell had developed the perfect foam PVC sheet for this application. “Gorilla Board”. This foam PVC sheet is made like no other in the world. We have developed a different way to extrude this foam PVC to give it stronger properties than all others. It is far less likely to warp in extreme climate changes. The surface has a matte texture that is esthetically pleasing without doing all that sanding and priming. Because it doesn’t absorb water, the water will not penetrate and freeze.
